This shot was probably one of the most difficult that I took during my 2005 visit to the Kentucky Horse Park. I failed to see the Legends exhibition at its showing time, so I was forced to visit these horsey greats through the TINY mesh wiring of their stall doors. Cigar himself spent several moments nuzzling me through about an inch of space and I managed to kiss his soft nose before something caught his attention out his stall window. Luckily enough for me, I was able to jam my lens through the mesh just enough to catch this shot without the obscurity of metal all in the way. :D

*drool* LOVE this horse... lucky you to see him!!! Great shot, even though it sounds like it was a difficult one!

Blow a kiss that leaves me gasping, and I wanna feel that lightning strike me, and burn me down.
he is gorgeous, altho probably sick of constant visitors. sounds like you really had a moment with him. i like the richness of the dark areas in the photo and the shapes from the pose are magnificent.

He was SUCH a sweet heart. I really, really wish I'd gotten the chance to actually touch him more than just smashing my face against the stall grate to kiss his nose... :sniff:

Hehe. That's why this little baby is so satisfying. It's nothing particularly spectacular, but it took lots of effort!

Can you believe that I didn't even have to alter anything in this shot? (Well... besides the addition of his name and all.) It just happened to turn out just like that. Pretty magical, if I do say so myself.

:( Least you got to give him smoochies!!! Beats poking your fingers through the door at the Irish National Stud :XD:
